Special Abhishekam was performed to Lord Sri Ranganatha Swamy in the early hours at Sri Lakshmi Ranganatha Swamy temple at Ranganayakulagutta in the city besides a Palliki Seva for the Goddess Goda Devi. Speaking on the occasion, temple priest B Venkata Krishnamacharyulu said Vaikunta Ekadasi was auspicious festival as the gateway to Lord Vishnu’s abode opens on this day.

District Family Court Judge Lalita Kumari offered prayers along with her family members at the temple. Corporator Rudragani Sri Devi along with temple management Sripadacharyulu, Chakradaracharyulu and Acharya Sandeep made elaborate arrangements for the convenience of the devotees.
