Kothagudem: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Founder President and Late Former Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao 22nd death anniversary was observed by Party District leaders and cadres here on Thursday.
The Party District President Koneru Satyanarayana Murthy (Chinni) and party leaders paid floral tributes to the late leader at the party office. Speaking on the occasion he said N T Rama Rao created ripples in national politics by swearing in as Chief Minister of the united Andhra Pradesh within a short span of nine months after floating the party. People discuss AP politics as before NTR and After NTR they underline, he added.
NTR implemented various welfare schemes for the poor when he had ruled, he said. NTR gave new lease of life to BC, SC, ST and Minority leaders in the politics by honouring them with suitable party posts and by nominating party candidates in elections, the district party leaders said. Later, the leaders garlanded the statue of NTR near the railway station and paid rich tributes. Annadhanam programme was conducted by party leaders and fans.
In the temple town Bhadrachalam the party leaders have distributed milk and bread to patients in the Government Area Hospital. The TDP State Leaders K Phaniswarama, Kodali Srinivasan, K Ramu and NTR fans association SK Azeem participated in the programme.
