Kothagudem: Director (Personal) J Pavithran Kumar of Singareni Collieries Company Limited stated that Grievance Day programme conducted in Company areas every Monday was proving beneficial for the workers.

Speaking at the ‘Meet the Press’ programme conducted by the Company at Yellandhu Club, the SCCL director said so far, they have received some 1,200 grievances from workers, and of them, nearly 80 per cent of them were addressed. “The rejected applications were uploaded on the site with the reason for their rejection,” informed the official, adding that the Company would reach its production target without any hassles this financial year.

Stating that the Company would spend Rs 2 crore towards installing LED lights in all panchayats in Kothagudem region, the top official stated that the SCCL has planted nearly one crore saplings as part of State government’s flagship programme Haritha Haram.

“The Singareni has supported round-the-clock power supply scheme, which is the dream project of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao,” he said, adding that the Company would plan more power projects in the State in the offing.

Company Director Shanker said SCCL would provide more benefits to its workers in summer days and all quarters would get air conditioners. General Managers Anand Rao, Masood Majahid, Murali Sagar Kumar, DGM Deekshithulu, Manager Ramesh and other officials of the Company took part in the programme.
