Bullocks race flagged off in Huzurnagar

Minister Jagadish Reddy as part of ongoing Maha Sivaratri celebrations launched a three-day bullocks race at Mellacheruvu in Huzurnagar on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister suggested the people to conduct competitions in a healthy atmosphere and enjoy the shows.
Huzurnagar: Minister Jagadish Reddy as part of ongoing Maha Sivaratri celebrations launched a three-day bullocks race at Mellacheruvu in Huzurnagar on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister suggested the people to conduct competitions in a healthy atmosphere and enjoy the shows.
He wished the participants, who came from Pidguralla, Karampudi and Guntur from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh besides locals.
On day one, about 10 pairs of bullocks participated in the race. Similarly, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy inauguarted a similar race at Chitriyala in Huzurnagar and performed special pujas at local Siva and Venugopala Swamy temples. Large number of locals attended the event.
