Officials of Centre for Good Governance of the State Karnakar and Sreeja informed that government has been modernising all Primary Health Centres to provide corporate-level treatment to rural poor. The officials along with others visited the PHC located at Penpahad on Friday.

They examined the facilities and functioning of the centre. Speaking on the occasion, they said to promote institutional deliveries at government hospitals, the government has introduced KCR Kits. And increasing statistical figures of deliveries in government hospitals explain the success of the programme.

PHC doctor Deepthi Priyanka has explained the implementation of KCR Kits programme and facilities available at the health centre. Deputy DMHO Kalavathi, programme officers Ravi, Ganga Vara Prasad, TB official Venkatesh and others visited the health centre.
