Suryapet: Minister for Roads and Buildings Tummala Nageshwara Rao on Monday said the government has decided to build MLA camp offices in every Assembly constituency headquarters to enable the people to have better access to their elected legislators
He attended as a chief guest at a function held to mark the inauguration MLA camp office constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore in Suryapet.
Speaking on this occasion, the Minister said construction of MLA camp offices in all 104 Assembly constituencies was undertaken on the instructions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Construction of as many as 50 MLA camp offices were completed. In accordance with the advice of the priests and elders, Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy entered the camp office at an auspicious hour in the morning. The Minister conducted ‘sudharshana homam’ under the guidance of priest China Jeeyar Swamy.
In this programme, Legislative Council Vice-Chairman Nethi Vidyasagar, Collector Surendra Mohan, ZP Chairman Balu Naik, MPs Sukender Reddy, Narasaiah Goud, MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, MLAs Gadari Kishore,Vemula Veeresham, Bhaskar Rao, Suryapet Chairperson Ganduri Pravallika and others participated.
