Merging of village with municipality opposed
Protesting against the proposal to merge a village with Bhongir Municipality, villagers of Bommaipally under Bhongir mandal staged a sit-in protest at Vinayaka Chowratha in Bhongir on Friday.

Addressing the gathering, Bommaipally MPTC Pandu said majority of villagers are migrating to Hyderabad for livelihood. Those villagers, who remain in the village, are obtaining work under MNREGS scheme. “If government merges their village with Bhongir municipality, the villagers will be deprived of their livelihood,” he said.
He requested officials concerned to withdraw the proposal. He warned that the villagers would intensify the stir.
In this program, villagers Dayyala Narsimha, Pallerla Anjaiah , former sarpanch Chilukuri Pulamma, vice sarpanch Purshotham Reddy, Kalamma, Kamalamma, Swarnalatha, Aruna, Rani Anitha and others were participated.
