District Joint Secretary of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) Yerra Srikanth here on Friday appealed to the Marxists and the Ambedkarites to fight unitedly against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its affiliate, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). 

Khammam: District Joint Secretary of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) Yerra Srikanth here on Friday appealed to the Marxists and the Ambedkarites to fight unitedly against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its affiliate, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

He stressed the need for a joint fight against the forces which are instigating attacks on Dalits.He hoisted the party flag at Kalvoddu in Khammam to highlight the importance of CPI-M national conference, to be held in Hyderabad between April 18 and 22.

Speaking on the occasion, Srikanth said it was necessary to wage a fight against communal forces. He emphasised the importance of leading economic and social movement to protect the rights of weaker sections.

The BJP and its affiliate, RSS, have been attacking Dalits, Minorities and Backward Classes by encouraging communalism in the country. He called for a joint fight by Marxist and Ambedkarites to protect the Constitution and democracy in the country.

CPI-M leaders Y Srinivas Rao, T Lingaiah, S K Qasim, S Veerababu, D Lakshmaiah, S Sathyam, S K Pasha, L Venkatanarayana, P Sudhakar Rao, K Upendra Rao, S Raju, S K Jhony and S K Usman Ali were present at the programme.
