Nakrekal (Nalgonda): Energy Minister GJagadish Reddy said that after the formation of a separate Telangana State,villages in the State have been witnessing revolutionary changes in the agriculture sector.

Participating in an awareness camp on ‘RythuBandhu’ scheme, in which he was the chief guest here on Wednesday, the Minister alleged that earlier,the rulers of United Andhra Pradesh had completely ignored the agricultural sector in this region, but now, it was gradually growing and regaining its lost glory.

Farmers would get financial relief with aid of Rs 4,000 per acre for each farmer during every season under RythuBandu scheme, the Minister added.

Congress top brass leaders and farmers Uttam Kumar Reddy , Jana Reddy and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy also got input subsidy cheques on their names, if interested they can avail the opportunity, he added.He said that with proper planning, the tail end farmers of the Nagarjuna Sagar also got water for the last three years.

Drip equipment would be supplied to farmerswho were cultivating lands under bore wells to utilise every drop of water properly to get better yields, he informed Telangana stood in the forefront in the entire nation in providing top priority to agriculture sector, the Minister asserted.

Nakrekal MLA VemulaVeeresham, RDO Venkata Chary, officials of the Agriculture Department, RythuSamanvayaSamithi leaders and members were present on the occasion.
