Under this scheme, the farmers would be given financial assistance of Rs 4,000 per acre of farm land twice an year along with new pattadar passbooks under and cheques would be distributed to themby the officials of the RevenueDepartment from May 10 onwards.
Of the total 1,93,009 pattadar pass books covering 279 villages during the first phase, so far, 1,20,000 pattadar passbooks covering 170 villages were sent to the district officials and the remaining pass books are likely to be sent in another four days.District Revenue Department officials are busy scrutinisingthe available pattadar pass books.
So also, around 2,37,331 input subsidy cheques worth Rs 23,86, 52,000,havebeen sent to the district to bedistributedto 2,37,331 farmers over a stretch of 5,73,971 acres of land in the district Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, District Joint Collector Sanjeeva Reddy said that after scrutiny bythe officials concerned, all the pattadar pass books would be sent to respective police stations, taking into account security aspects.
