Kothagudem: Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TIWJ) (IJU) State vice-president K Ramanarayana gave a call to all journalists to make ‘journalists garjana’ a grand success.

The district committee held a meeting with all the members of the union here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Ramanarayana criticised the TRS government for failing to fulfil its poll promises given to journalists, like allotment of house sites, health insurance, other welfare schemes, during its four years’ rule.

The scribes were facing many difficulties in propagating the government welfare schemes in villages across the State. He demanded the government to implement all its promises immediately for the welfare of journalists in the State.

Ramanarayana appealed the journalists to attend the journalists’ garjana at Hyderabad on May 28 and to make it a grand success.

Union district president BV Ramana Reddy, secretary J Ramesh, treasurer Satya Anand, members Rajesh, Uday, K Satyanarayana, M Anand, T Nageswara Rao, B Kiran Kumar, P Srinivas and others participated in the programme. Earlier to the meeting, the union leaders released wall posters on the garjana.
