Khammam: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) general secretary Vagubandi Rambabu here on Friday accused the Karnataka Governor of violating the Constitution by inviting the BJP to form the government though it lacked majority.

District Congress party leaders and activists took out a rally from Sanjeeva Reddy Bhavan to the District Collectorate and staged a sit-in here at Dharna chowk to condemn the Governor’s action. The leaders alleged that the Governor had murdered the democracy in broad daylight.

Speaking on the occasion, V Rambabu alleged that the Kanataka Governor Vajubhai Vala had murdered the democracy by inviting the BJP party to form government. The BJP party was employing all tactics to form the government though it lacked majority. There was a pervasive fear in the country and situation was fraught with perils under the BJP government, he said.

Leaders of the Congress party Puvvalla Durga Prasad, former MLC Potla Nageswara Rao, Carporators V Narasimha Rao, Gangadar Tilak, Nagandla Deepak Chowdari and K Sitharamulu, Zaheer, Javed, Balaji Naik, Jayaraj, Md. Tajuddin, Srinivas, Venkat Reddy, Ramesh, Bade Saheb, Kondal and SK Jaffar were present.
