Nagarkurnool: Protesting against the alleged large-scale irregularities in sheep distribution scheme in Nagarkurnool district, Congress party activists led by former MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy staged a massive protest and took out a rally here on Thursday. The Congress leaders and activists made a bid to lay siege to the District Collectorate.

“The sheep distribution scheme launched by the TRS government is full of irregularities and a large=scale corruption has led to squandering of public money. We demand that the government come clear on the irregularities and conduct a thorough enquiry,” said Janardhan Reddy.

The Congress leaders and activists in a large number tried to barge into the District Collectorate to give representation to the Collector. The police stopped the Congress activists and dissuaded them from barging into the Collectorate.

Prominent Congress leaders like D K Aruna, A Revanth Reddy, Vamshi Krishna and others from Mahbubnagar district took part in the agitation. The Congress leaders and activists staged a sit-in protest at the district Collectorate.
