Mission Bhagiratha trial run begins

Mahbubnagar: With Mission Bhagiratha water flowing into Manyamkonda reservoir through the recently constructed water treatment plant, Srinivas Goud, MLA Mahbubnagar, inaugurated the trial run of the water treatment plant. He hailed the engineers for completing the Mission Bhagiratha works ahead of schedule.

Speaking on the occasion, Srinivas Goud said the Mission Bhagiatha was a mammoth and prestigious project taken up by the Telangana State government to provide safe drinking water to each and every household. “Can anyone dare to take such a challenge, it is only possible for Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

We did it. With the completion of major works of Mission Bhagiratha, only 5-10 per cent works of pipe laying in the villages and once that is completed we will provide pure and safe drinking water to more than 259 habitations under 11 mandals in three assembly constituencies in Mahbubnagar from Manyam Konda reservoir water treatment plant,” said the MLA.

The MLA said that the TRS was the only party that had courage to say that it would not seek votes from people if it did not deliver drinking water to people as promised under the project. The MLA hailed the work of engineers from Irrigation Department and the contractors of Meghana Engineering and Infrastructure for their dedication to meet the project deadline as set.
