Khammam: YSRCP leader Sharmila alleged that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was diluting the 'Pavala Vaddi' scheme launched by her father and former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and nowhere the scheme was being implemented in the State. As part of her third day 'Pada Yatra' in Khammam district, Sharmila on Wednesday held a Rachabanda programme at Nelakondapalli mandal headquarters and inquired about the problems of local people. Addressing the gathering, she said that when Rajasekhara Reddy was the Chief Minister of the State, all the welfare schemes were implemented effectively and majority of the beneficiaries had received the development fruits. But, under the leadership of Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, the situation has totally changed and none of the Rajasekhara Reddy's programmes are being implemented properly. The YSRCP leader alleged that then Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu sold out the Paleru Sugar factory to his party leader Nama Nageshwara Rao at cheap rate and deceived the farmers of the district. She said the YSRCP would order for a thorough inquiry into irregularities of Paleru Sugars if the party voted to power in 2014 General elections. District convener Macha Srinivas, party in-charge of Khammam Parliament seat Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy and other leaders took part in the Pada Yatra.
