Sharmila continues tirade against Naidu

Vijayawada: YSR Congress leader Sharmila here on Wednesday, the second day of her padayatra in the city, continued her tirade against Opposition leader and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Addressing a public meeting at Ajitsinghnagar, Sharmila said that Chandrababu Naidu would go down in the history as betrayer. She said that Naidu had betrayed NTR and grabbed the power. She further said that the TD chief had also betrayed the poor by ignoring them during his nine years of rule in the State. She asserted that people were not ready to get cheated once again. She alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was responsible for the introduction of belt shops and massive spread of liquor trade in the State. Sharmila said that Chandrababu Naidu had neglected the farmers, increased power tariff, besides burdeningA the people during nine years. The present Congress government too was following his policies for which he was supporting, she alleged. She further said that both the TD and the Congress have conspired against YS Jaganmohan Reddy and have used the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to restrict the young leader to the jail. She asserted that Jaganmohan Reddy would come out of the jail. She asserted that Jaganmohan Reddy would restore the welfare programmes of late YS Rajasekhar Reddy after the 2014 elections.
