Vijayawada: Samaikyandhra protagonist and former legislator, Adusumilli Jayaprakash, here on Thursday, threatened that they would not allow AK Antony committee that was constituted to look into Seemandhra people’s grievances.

In an open letter, Jayaprakash said that the Samaikyandhra activists would prevent the visit of the committee that was set up to betray the people of the State once again. He took strong exception to the constitution of the committee as it would only listen to the complaints on the sharing of finances, assets and liabilities and not on the division of the State. He said the panel would have to take the views of the people from Seemandhra on division of the State failing which the activists would chase them away from the State.

The former legislator asked the UPA government to constitute an official committee to handle the issue rather than the Congress party committee. He wanted to know what constitutional powers that the Antony committee has to resolve the issue and appealed to the people to boycott the committee and register their protest when the members visit the State.

Jayaprakash took a dig at the Congress MPs and the Union ministers for not able to convince the party chief and the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
