Accuse each other of double game in State’s division

Vijayawada: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Vijayawada city unit has demanded the Congress party and its core committee to take back its decision on bifurcation of State. TDP city unit president K Nagul Meera, addressing the media here on Sunday, said that the Congress party and its leaders were pretending as if they were not responsible for the division of State.

Many Congress leaders are praising Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy for his stand on Samaikyandhra. But the same person who earlier attended war room meetings and Working Committee meetings had never opposed the division of State before the announcement was made by Digvijay Singh as their Italian queen Sonia Gandhi ordered them not to open their mouths, he said.
Nagul Meera said that Congress leaders have no right to oppose the protests undertaken by the TDP. Samaikyandhra agitation has taken a new shape as there was spontaneous response from the people of the region in favour of united State.

More than 68 trade unions have participated in the rally organised by Vijayawada Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Saturday.
He criticised the Congress party MP, Rajagopal, legislators Vellamalli Srinivas and Malladi Vishnu who lost their cool and shouted against TDP cadres saying that they have no right to fight for Samaikyandhra now after their leader Chandrababu Naidu gave it in writing in favour of division.

In fact, it was the Congress party and its high command that divided the State with a motive to grab maximum number of MP seats from Telangana region, he alleged. Nagul Meera also took the Union Cabinet Ministers from the region to task for not submitting their resignations. They will regret their decision in the days to come, he said. He also alleged that the UPA Government was trying to prolong the issue till the next elections by appointing high power committees. But the people of Seemandhra and the TDP will not accept any alternative except Samaikyandhra, he said. The TDP city unit will extend its support to APNGOs strike from 13 August 2013, he said.
