Almost 500 kg of plastic waste was collected in the last two days and Rs 1.50 lakh was collected as a penalty from traders.

Two persons have been imposed a penalty of Rs.15,000 each as per the directions of Mayor B Rammohan for displaying unauthorized flexies and banners at TRS Bhavan.

The Mayor urged all the political parties and public representatives to participate in the initiative of maintaining Hyderabad as a pollution-free city.

With the government directions of banning the single-use plastic completely by 2022, GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy has appealed to all the traders and citizens to implement the ban on single-use plastic and make the city pollution free. He also appealed the political parties and public representatives not to erect banners in this regard.
