No snap polls in AP: Nara Lokesh

Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh has made it clear that the Telugu Desam will not go in for snap polls. The people have given the TDP mandate for five years and the party would rule for five years, he said.

Talking to reporters on Monday, he said that he would contest from any seat in the state. He said he would abide by the diktat of the chief minister. “I shall fight direct elections this year,” he declared

Referring to the fake news on social media, he said those spreading fake news would be punished. He said those accusing him of corrupt practices should prove them. He said the TDP was committed to provide two lakh jobs in the IT sector. Comparing the YSR regime with the Chandrababu rule, he said while Chandrababu Naidu had laid road to Pulivendula, but YSR could not lay roads to kuppam. He said final shape is being given to the rules and regulations on providing unemployment allowance.
