52-year-old man sexually harasses daughter on the pretext of sexual education

BENGALURU: In the city of Bangalore, a 52 -year-old auto rickshaw driver who had been sexually assaulting his 16-year-old daughter on the basis of imparting sexual education to her. He has not been arrested yet.

Police said that the accused, who is a father of five girls, has been abusing his second daughter for over two years. The issue was brought to light only when the girl opened up to her mother recently. “You are a girl and you must learn all these things which will be helpful for you when you get married,” the man allegedly had told his daughter, who is a student of 9th grade.

When she objected, he threatened to kill her. The girl finally decided to reveal her ordeal when he had started harassing her on a daily basis. She warned him on the 16th of November and when he did not put an end to it, she told her mother on the 23rd of November. The mother caught him red-handed on that particular day, but he somehow managed to escape from the house which is located in the north of Bengaluru.

Basavanagudi police have filed a case against him under the Pocso Act and IPC sections.
