Hyderabad: With extending the timings of liquor shops on New Year eve, the people in Hyderabad have spent Rs 70 crore on liquor on December 31. Surprisingly, the whopping amount was spent in the areas coming under Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
In 2017, over Rs 60 crore liquor sale has been recorded. On the other hand, the city police have booked cases on the people caught in drunken drive check.
