Hyderabad: As many as 18 Khadimul Hujjaj (Haj Officers) from out of 159 candidates declared eligible for deputation,were selected by the Telangana State Haj Committee by Qurrah, Draw of lots here today. Besides two officials from TS haj Committee and one official from TS Waqf Board will also be sent to Saudi Arabia as Khadim-ul-Hujjaj.
Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Mohammed Masiullah Khan inaugurated the draw and congratulated the selected candidates. He hoped that the selected candidates would serve the Haj pilgrims while in KSA. He also warned that if they fail to deliver the results disciplinary action would be taken against them.
Special Officer Prof. S. A. Shukoor said that the Telangana Government sends Khadim-ul-Hujjaj every year to look after the pilgrims.
Masiullah Khan and Prof. Shukoor informed that Home Minister Mohammed Ali would visit New Delhi on 1st February and hand over the letter of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao to the Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi for enhancement of Haj Seats for Telangana State.
Meanwhile, Haj Committee met here today presided over by Mr. Mohammed Masiullah Khan and decided to make best arrangements for the Haj pilgrims at the time of their stay at Haj House, their departure on holy journey and their return back home.
Members of Telangana State Haj Committee Mohammed Saleem MLC and Chairman TS Waqf Board, Arif Ahmed, Abu Talha Amjad, Hafiz Mohammed Laiq Khan and Mohammed Arifuddin attended the meeting.
