TRS working president KT Ramarao on Friday met US consul general Hyderabad Katherine Hadda and discussed the arrest of Telugu students in the US.
KTR requested the US consul general to assist them in the country. "Pleasure meeting with you Kathy. Glad to have covered a wide gamut of US-India relations & with Telangana in particular. As discussed, I hope you could convey our request on behalf of the students from Telugu states who are engulfed in a situation in the US," tweeted KTR.

Hundreds of students from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh has been detained in the US for violating immigration rules. The arrests have been made following the raids conducted by US immigration and customs enforcement agency.
The raids were made as a part of a crackdown on the foreign students staying in the country without any proper authorization.
