Ganja worth Rs 30 lakh seized in Bhadradri

The forest department officials seized 600 kg of ganja worth Rs 30 lakh in Bhadrachalam in the early hours on Wednesday.

According to the officials, when a forest officer tried to stop the truck for a regular vehicle check, the driver did not stop and drove the vehicle fast from the spot. Growing suspicious over it, the officer chased the vehicle and seized it.

The truck carrying the consignment from Odisha is meant to deliver the stuff in the cities like Hyderabad and Mumbai. A case was registered by the local CI Satyanarayana Reddy.
