Transgenders create ruckus at night, attack police at Uppal

A transgender gang attacked police and vehiclists near Uppal Ring Road in early hours of Wednesday.

The gang intervened the vehicles on the road and stole the purses, mobile phones and chains. They also attacked the people who ran into the nearby police station. However, the police who tried to pacify the transgenders were also attacked by them.

The transgenders also attacked the ACP Gandhi who reached the police station during the issue. Learning the incident, CI rushed to the station and shifted the injured constables to a hospital after taking a statement from them.

The police registered a case and are probing.
