kcrMahabubnagar: Lok Sabha member K Chandrasekhar Rao after reviewing issues including irrigation, drinking water, power supply and rabi cultivation under Jurala project with district collector Girija Sankar here on Saturday, told the media persons that he was ready to allocate Rs. 15 lakh to Rs. 25 lakh from MPLAD funds for each assembly constituency to solve drinking water problem. He said that the district administration admitted that the drinking water problem persisted in more than 300 villages and water is being supplied to 150 villages. He said that MPLAD funds could be utilized for sinking bore wells and to set up motors. He demanded the government to release Rs. 15 crore to solve drinking water problem. Expressing concern over the drying up of crops in 60,000 acres under Jurala project, he said that he would meet the minister concerned along with the TRS MLAs to solve the problem. He appealed to the government to hold talks with the Karnataka government to release water. He demanded pipelines be laid from Ramanpadu to various areas to supply water. He said that the contractors pocketed money without laying pipelines. CM flayed: The TRS chief criticized Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for spreading canards against TRS. He said that it was not true that TRS was against SC, ST sub plan. In fact, it was TRS who championed for the sub plan, he said and added that the Assembly records could be verified. He said that it was unfortunate that the chief minister was supporting the corrupt ministers. He said that it was unprecedented in the country that so many ministers and IAS officials were kept in jail.
