Protesting against the government indifference in celebrating the Telangana liberation day on Tuesday, the Bharatiya Janata Party celebrated the day with pomp and gaiety by hoisting the national flag at various places. However, the BJP activists were stopped from hoisting the national flags on the government offices. A group of BJP activists including the district unit president Veerelli Chandrasekhar were arrested at the Clock Tower centre while they are moving towards to the district police headquarters to hoist the flag atop the police office.

A group of BJP activists including the district unit president Veerelli Chandrasekhar were arrested at the Clock Tower centre while they are moving towards to the district police headquarters to hoist the flag atop the police office.
Earlier, Chandrasekhar has hoisted the national flag atop the BJP district office. At Kanagal, the BJP activists hoisted the national flag atop MRO office after which the police arrested them. The TRS leader Chakilam Anil Kumar hoisted the TRS flag and the national flag at their party office here on Tuesday in connection with the Telangana liberation day.
District JAC chairman Venkateswarlu hoisted the national flag at Clock Tower centre. The advocates hoisted the national flag at the district court. Throughout the district Telangana leaders hoisted the national flags. The police have taken into custody the activists of BDSF and Telangana Jagruti while they were trying to take out a rally with black flags in the town. They were let off in the evening.
