A meeting will be hold between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by Arvind Kejriwal and the Congress party officials to discuss on 18-point charter for support. It is evident that the congress party has extended unconditional support for the Aam Admi Party after the verdict of the polls, which left no party with a clear majority.
With the indication of the AAP, which opined that the Congress' response is not satisfactory, the possibility of President's rule in Delhi has fortified. In a report to the Centre, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Najeeb Jung has recommended the president's rule to be the best way out of the impasse.
After the rejection of BJP to form the government, the AAP was supported by the Congress party for the formation of the Government. But, AAP sought 18-point charter for support. Of these 18 points, said Congress officials, 16 points on the charter were executive decisions and did not require Congress support in the house, and the party is committed to the remaining two, which include statehood for Delhi and the Lokpal Bill.
From the other side, the AAP leaders are of the opinion that Congress party has been supporting them in the pretext of ditching their party, which may lead for a political disaster. It is also evident that the AAP had last week written to both the Congress and the BJP parties seeking their views on a congregation of issues including the Jan Lokpal.
It is worth mentioning that Arvind sought 10days of time, when he was invited by the Lieutenant governor for the formation of the government.
