Telangana bill to be introduced in Loksabha first?

New Delhi: The congress party has changed its stratagem yet again on Telangana bill. It is learnt that the Telangana bill will be introduced in Loksabha first before Rajya Sabha. The party has been struggling for the same.

It is learnt that the decision has been made so, as there are financial matters involved in the bill. However, no authenticated message has been received of when the bill will be introduced in the Loksabha.

According to sources, Rajya Sabha has been considering the Telangana bill as a financial bill due to the involvement of consolidated fund matter. As per rule, any financial bill should be introduced in the Loksabha before Rajya Sabha.

Conversely, few others opine that Telangana bill is not a financial bill. In order to arrive at a conclusion, reportedly the Congress party high command and UPA govt are seeking legal advice on the matter.

Whatsoever may be the case, a decision will be taken on Tuesday. A meeting has been planned by the Loksbha affairs committee to discuss the matter. If the bill is to be introduced in Loksbaha first, there is a need to obtain permission from the president, once again.
