New Delhi: The Special Protection Group also known as SPG is intended for the protection of the existing and previous PMs and their family members. Ever since Narendra Modi, the Prime Ministerial candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party, has declared in his election affidavit that he has been married, the elite SPG has been in the tight spot.
Narendra Modi, though was married, has been separated from his 62yr old wife Jashodabehn Chimanlal for many years. Now, SPG is in catch-22 whether it has to take a drop in on to provide a security to the wife of BJP leader Narendra Modi, if he gets appointed as the Prime Minister or not.
Also, the SPG is also pondering whether it will need to provide security to Modi’s aged mother Hirabehn who lives in a separate house in Gandhinagar in Gujarat.
It is a case of an exception wherein such a situation has been faced by the Special Protection Group for the first time ever. By now, the top brass of SPG is chalking out the vagueness of the issue, reportedly.
