Ahmedabad: Narendra Modi, who ruled Gujarat state for more than 12yrs as the Chief Minister will be offering his resignation on Wednesday to the state governor. He will tender his resignation to Kamla Beniwal, the governor of Gujarat state at 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday. He would be addressing at a special meeting of the state assembly before he meets the governor to offer his resignation. An official announcement has been made by Harshad Patel, an official spokesperson of the party.
Later, Modi will attend the Legislature meeting in which the successor of Modi will be decided. To run the entire show in a smooth and secured manner, the BJP has appointed Tawarchand Gehlawat as the observer. After meeting the Governor accompanied by the new leader of Legislative Party, Modi will offer his resignation. Modi will be attending the swearing-in ceremony of new Chief Minister of Gujarat on Thursday. It is worth recollecting that Modi has been in the Chief Minster’s chair since October 7, 2001.
