Brahma replaces Sampath as CEC

HS Brahma, who currently holds the position of Election Commissioner, will succeed VS Sampath as the next Chief Election Commissioner of India. The government seems to have followed the convention of proposing the appointment of the senior-most Election Commissioner as the Chief Election Commissioner.
