Guwahati : Security forces on Wednesday had apprehended three hardcore ULFA militants in Assam's Sonitpur district, police said.
Following a tip-off, police and army had jointly launched operation at Kudum Ghat area in the North Assam district and nabbed the militants who identified as Hemanta Saikia, Debojit Gogoi and Dipen Sahu.
Security personnel had recovered two point 32mm pistols with magazines, seven rounds live ammunition in possession of them. The nabbed militants were involved in extortion activities in northern Assam.
