Modi govt murdered land laws: Rahul

New Delhi: An aggressive Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi tore into the government in Parliament over the Land Acquisition Bill on Tuesday, threatening to take the protests to the streets if the NDA didn't listen to Opposition demands of scrapping the "anti-poor" legislation.

Rahul Gandhi dramatically professed that the government had "murdered" existing laws to acquire land from farmers. Gandhi, who has been leading the Congress campaign against the Prime Minister's land reforms, accompanied his comments with dramatic gestures, including a blow to the neck as he referred to "deadly strikes" against farmers.
