Three NDFB(S) militants nabbed in Assam

Security forces on Monday had apprehended three hardcore cadres of National Democratic Front Of Bodoland (Sangbijit faction) and recovered arms and ammunition in Assam’s Kokrajhar district, police said. Following a tip-off, troops of CRPF and police had launched operation at Gossaigaon area in the BTAD district and nabbed the militants.
Guwahati: Security forces on Monday had apprehended three hardcore cadres of National Democratic Front Of Bodoland (Sangbijit faction) and recovered arms and ammunition in Assam’s Kokrajhar district, police said. Following a tip-off, troops of CRPF and police had launched operation at Gossaigaon area in the BTAD district and nabbed the militants.
The nabbed militants were identified as Pushpa Narzary, Janak Basumutary and Ukil Brahma and recovered one 7.65mm pistol, three rounds AK-47 ammunition and other war like stores in possession from them. BTAD IGP Dr LR Bisnoi said that, the militants were involved in extortions in the BTAD area.
