President Pranab Mukherjee eats only vegetarian on Tuesdays

Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and his wife Ms Vimala Narasimhan hosted a dinner at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday for President Pranab Mukherjee in honour of his 10-day southern sojourn in Hyderabad.

While the dinner was skipped by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who cited ill health, it was attended by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu who visited Raj Bhavan first time ever since the cash for vote scam broke out. A source from Raj Bhavan informed that the dinner was held in a pleasant environment with leaders and officials from both the states in addition to Navy, Army and Air Force officials attended.

The Governor ensured plush vegetable dishes prepared by ITC Kakatiya as the President is vegetarian on Tuesdays; including Hyderabadi biryani, mirchi ka saalan, Panasa (jack fruit) biryani, pulusu, dosa, jowar roti, uttampam, Deccani saag, makka jonna wada and other Telangana delicacies.

Many prominent officials were present at the dinner - Hyderabad High Court Chief Justice Dilip Babasaheb Bhosale, Council Chairman Swami Goud, Deputy CMs Kadiam Srihari, Mohd Mahamood Ali, Speaker Madhusudhana Chary and others from Telangana; Union Minister Sujana Choudhary, Council Chairman A. Chakrapani, Deputy CM Chinna Rajappa besides Chief Secretaries, DGP and other officials from AP.
