Security forces arrest two militants in Assam

Following a tip-off, Biswanath Chariali Police had launched operation at Brahmapur village under Biswanath Chariali police station and nabbed a cadre of NDFB(S) who identified as Banjoy Basumutary.
Police recovered one revolver in possession from him.
On other hand, police and army had apprehended a MULTA cadre from Dhubri.
Security forces had a revolver and ammunition in possession from the militant who identified as Shah Alam.
“He was actively involved in extortion, kidnapping, smuggling of arms, ammunition and fake Indian currency,” a top police official said.
