Citizens to meet on Saturday, Aug 27 2016 - to demand for accountability and action against corrupt officials/ Unscrupulous builders

Bengaluru, Aug 25: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike’s (BBMP) recent demolition drive is shameful evidence that illegalities have been committed in Bengaluru over the years. A large number of hardworking homebuyers are paying the price today, losing their homes due to adhoc planning and illegal constructions - bearing the cost of corruption and malfeasance. Builders are looting the city with corrupt officials as willing partners in the destruction of our city. It is the right of citizens to demand accountability and compensation from the Government which has failed to protect their interests!

This is an appeal from Namma Bengaluru Foundation and Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, MP to all Citizens of Bengaluru to Join Us on Saturday August 27, 2016 in this Fight to protect Our City from the criminal nexus of government officials and builders.

The pro-citizen MP, who has tirelessly fought to protect citizen rights, will meet victims and concerned citizens to deliberate the way forward towards cleaning up Bengaluru from corruption and mal-governance.

Date: Saturday, August 27, 2016
Time: 10:45 am onwards
