The death of a 46-year-old man in Thane was termed to be a road accident. However, police probing the mishap revealed that it is a murder and have arrested the deceased’s former lover and her boyfriend.

The deceased, Ramji Sharma was hit by a speeding car on November 18 and succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.

The woman, a 45-year-old married mother of five children with a string of affairs, confessed to the police of plotting the murder with her boyfriend, Jaiprakash Chouhan who is a driver with an app cab firm.

According to the details, Sharma, who was in an illicit relationship with the woman, was pestering her and even followed her and her husband during morning walks.

The woman, Sumari Yadav revealed that she was tired of Sharma's pestering and the duo planned the murder in a way to pass it off as an accident. However, Sharma's son's mention of his former lover helped crack the case.

Also, after the accident, the police got alerted with how quickly the man had repaired the car raising doubts.
