Four nominations to Rajya Sabha announced by President
Rakesh Sinha, a RSS follower, is nominated to Rajya Sabha by the President on the recommendation of the Government of India Sonal Mansingh, a well known classical dancer and Raghunath Mohapatra, an artiste and Ram Shakal, former UP MP and dalit leader were also nominated by President Ram Nath Kovind
NEW DELHI: Rakesh Sinha, a RSS follower, is nominated to Rajya Sabha by the President on the recommendation of the Government of India. Sonal Mansingh, a well known classical dancer and Raghunath Mohapatra, an artiste and Ram Shakal, former UP MP and dalit leader were also nominated by President Ram Nath Kovind.
The Constitution of India gives a facility to the President to nominate 12 MPs to Rajya Sabha with a practical experience in respect of social service, science, art and literature.
