Power Politics Vs Mega Politics. The wall that lies in between Mega Politics and Power Politics is the state bifurcation. For sure, neither Pawan Kalyan nor Chiranjeevi supported the bifurcation of the state.

What happens when siblings turn to be rivals can be better analysed with the example of Megastar Chiranjeevi, the Union Minister, and Power Star Pawan Kalyan, the Chief of Jana Sena Party. They belong to the same family and same field – film industry. Nevertheless, their political orientations are different. While the former is an active member of Congress Party, the latter is supporting the TDP and BJP alliance in either region of Andhra Pradesh.

When it was a case of their movies, the fans were common and mutually cooperating with each other and used to enjoy the success of the movies of both Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan. But, when it comes to politics, there is a vertical split even among the fans. They took either the side of Chiranjeevi or the side of Pawan Kalyan for obvious reasons, as common interest does not find any place in the preferences in this case.

The wall that lies in between Mega Politics and Power Politics is the state bifurcation. For sure, neither Pawan Kalyan nor Chiranjeevi supported the bifurcation of the state. Nevertheless, Chiranjeevi had to abide by the decision of the Congress Party High Command. From the other end, BJP also supported state bifurcation, and now, the same party is supported by Pawan Kalyan. It indirectly implies the fact that both Pawan Kalyan and Chiranjeevi have accepted the state bifurcation. But, what matters is why they took the sides of two opposite parties? Is what Pawan Kalyan has been stating in his political speeches true? Or he is playing the politics for recompense?

Everything is fair in love and war has been a cliché. Now, the same is modified as – everything is fair in love, war and politics. From the other end, Chiranjeevi who chanted the slogan of Societal Telangana, opposed state bifurcation in the latter stages and merged his PRP party in Congress Party, disbanding the aspirations of the many activists of the party as well as his supporters. Grapevine had it that Pawan Kalyan wanted to trouble Chiranjeevi going on with the internal family clashes; so only, he floated Jana Sena Party and joined hands with his opponents – BJP and TDP. Whatsoever the case may be, the fixture between Congress and TDP+ BJP turned to be the diversion between Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, more aptly Mega Politics Vs Power Politics. Who will win the mêlée is a mere question as of now.
