AAP Winning 67 out of 70 Seats is Tsunami Alright But. No One could predict the Tsunami Win by AAP in the Nation\'s Capital. The Delhi citizens have acted with courage and honesty and wisdom.
No One could predict the Tsunami Win by AAP in the Nation's Capital. The Delhi citizens have acted with courage and honesty and wisdom. They were not influenced by the dishonest national parties nor were they bought out by the corrupt parties' cash gifts. Unfortunately, our Telangana citizens did not display such courage; I mean they did not punish TDP and Congress like the Delhi citizens did. The result is that Telangana still faces the disruptive politics of these two parties. If only the citizens of Telangana gave such a mandate to TRS ... of course, TRS would have to show their AAP like Clean Administration!
Of course, every Channel and Newspaper and every political party and the opportunistic politician wasted no time to give their opinions which projects their own agendas.
The truth is that Congress Party anyway was a spent force and wasn't a real adversary for AAP. BJP definitely was but proved to be just a straw man (weak and of no significance).
Just about everybody in the Media and every Politician and every Political Party claimed that the Delhi election results are a triumph for Secularism and a slap to BJP (its Hindutwa ?).
I don't think so. Citizens of Delhi did not forget BJP's disruptive politics after the last election in Delhi. BJP caused the downfall of AAP government and then painted Kejriwal as an anarchist when he rightly resigned after losing the vote on his anti corruption bill (an honorable thing to do).
Kejriwal did commit some mistakes such as contesting for Parliament from Varanasi which he did lose for good reason. In my opinion, it was a folly indeed. Kejriwal should have stayed put in Delhi and continued his fight for Delhi and its citizens. Losing the Parliamentary contest in Varanasi was a blessing in disguise in that Kejriwal was given a second chance to continue his just and essential Cause - installing a corrupt-free government in Delhi and fulfill his mission and promise to make the lives of Delhiites hassel free and wholesome.
Citizens of Delhi liked Kejriwal and his uncompromising philosophy to give a clean and people-centric governance. They understood why Kejriwal had to resign - running a minority government is no fun or its success possible. They did not forgive the duplicity and diabolic conduct of BJP the last time - encouraging AAP to form government and promising its full support but actually worked behind the screen to topple AAP government.
Delhi's citizens realized that AAP deserves a solid and absolute majority to continue its work. They realized who were their real enemies and who were the blocking their progress. They were convinced that BJP must be culled and de fanged. They wanted to provide such an absolute majority to AAP that no political party could even think of disrupting AAP's good governance. Just one example - the auto drivers of Delhi revealed that their lives were so positively bettered by AAP that they could not think of any other political party forming government again to make their lives miserable. What was it that was so significant for the auto drivers? They explained that they had to pay thousands of rupees every month per auto to the police and consequently they had to fleece the passengers (not accepting metered charges): "We have a big problem of parking and harassment by the police. During its previous 49-day government the AAP stopped it," Kumar told IANS.
Delhi citizens did not carry the burden of the whole nation like secularism etc. Neither did they change their mind about BJP to run the national government - after all they gave all their seven (?) Parliamentary seats to BJP just a few months ago. They were not upset about BJP at the Centre. But they only wanted AAP to have a free hand to run a corrupt-free government so they could get electric power without disruptions or unjustly high tariff rates, they wanted good affordable neighborhood schools for their children (government run schools), tackle their problems locally and so on.
So, this tsunami is not directed against BJP at the Centre nor to voice their concern for Secularism (pseudo?), or wanted to stop Modi-wave or any such lofty imaginary and abstract causes. Through their votes, the citizens of Delhi exhibited a very practical, pragmatic, wise disposition for a corrupt free government for good governance.
I only wish the citizens of Telangana and the Nation display similar focus, wisdom and courage!
