Speaking at a seminar on “Headaches-Remedial Measures” held under the aegis of Mano Vignana Vedika held at Khaleelwadi in the town on Wednesday, he said if people were indifferent to headaches, they would face further complications in the long-run as headaches pose a serious problem. Taking too many tablets as a remedy would be harmful, he warned. 

Nizamabad: Noted neuro-psychiatrist Dr Keshavulu urged the people not to neglect headaches or indulge in self-medications if they were suffering from headaches.

Speaking at a seminar on “Headaches-Remedial Measures” held under the aegis of Mano Vignana Vedika held at Khaleelwadi in the town on Wednesday, he said if people were indifferent to headaches, they would face further complications in the long-run as headaches pose a serious problem. Taking too many tablets as a remedy would be harmful, he warned.

Dr Keshavulu said that headaches were caused by blood pressure, blood clots occurring in the brain, stress, insomnia and fluctuations in blood circulation.

He said that women were more prone to headaches and they suffer from migraine headaches. He said that women suffer headache especially during menstrual periods as they keep fluctuating from time to time.

Women should avoid long journeys, stay away from sunlight and high decibel sounds and not consume salty or citric content items.Dr Keshavulu said that people suffering from headaches should spend time in the dark in a peaceful environment.
