civil2 Vijayawada: Samata Party former national president V V Krishna Rao has asked the government to conduct the civil services exams in Telugu language. He participated in the round table meeting, which was organised by the All India Student Federation (AISF), All India Youth Federation (AIYF) at CR library hall here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, Krishna Rao said that the government should take necessary steps to implement the policy and conduct the civil services in Telugu language. He said that he would also personally submit a requisition to the government in this regard.A He took the government to task for maintaining stoic silence on such an important issue. He said that lakhs of students would be benefitted if the civil service exams are conducted in Telugu language. A The All India Youth Federation (AIYF) State president Navaneetam Sambasiva Rao said that the Telugu students were losing opportunities in writing the civil exams in other languages. He regretted the World Telugu Conference held recently had little impact on the administration as most of the communication is done in English even now. The All India Student Federation (AISF) leader Paruchuri Rajesh asked the students to mount pressure on the government to take necessary steps to conduct the civil services exams in Telugu. Student leaders L Govinda Rajulu, Abdul Kalam Azad, Konda Linga Rao, and Ravi Kiran were also present.
