Around 300 Devotees from 10 Nations  - Malasiya, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, Lao,  Taiwan, Nepal, Japan and Srilanka,  of Zone IV and V,  participated on the first day of two days Buddha Pournima Celebrations – 2016  at Prasanthi Nilayam, today.    

Prasanthi Nilayam: Around 300 Devotees from 10 Nations - Malasiya, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, Lao, Taiwan, Nepal, Japan and Srilanka, of Zone IV and V, participated on the first day of two days Buddha Pournima Celebrations – 2016 at Prasanthi Nilayam, today.

The Theme of the Celebrations was “Compassion – The foundation of Ahimsa”.

The session commenced by Buddhist chanting by Devotees from Thailand and Nepal.

Dr V K Ravindran, Chairman of Zone IV, delivered his welcome address and introduced the two speakers of the day ie., Sri Sampath from Sri Lanka and Sri Anura from Singapore.

Both the speakers spoke on the theme of the event.

4 Cultural dances followed next by the children and youth from the Sai Organizations of Nepal.

Earlier the Veda Chanting was done at 1700 Hrs.

The Bhajans by International Team followed next and the Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan marked the end of the proceedings of the day at 1900 Hrs.
