Hockey fest from today

Hockey fest from today, Hockey’s Hero Hockey World League Final, World Cup Championships. The qualifiers from this tournament are going to take part in the World Cup Championships to be held in the Hague , Netherland from May 31 to 15 June this year.
New Delhi: From Friday, there is going to be a bonanza of great hockey game on display till January 18, wherein national teams from England, Netherland, New Zeeland, Australia, Belgium, Germany, Argentina and India are going to participate in the Federation of International Hockey’s Hero Hockey World League Final till January 18.
The qualifiers from this tournament are going to take part in the World Cup Championships to be held in the Hague , Netherland from May 31 to 15 June this year.
The Indian team which had held a rigorous training schedules from December 27 on wards announced its team with Sardar Singh as Captain. P T Rao , the Andhra boy who was among the probables as Goal Keeper was not included in the team. The Indian team under the coaching by Terry Walsh is in top spirits with the presence of their captain of whom many other teams are very wary of. It has been expressed by the coaches of other teams which are going to face India have specifically mentioned their fears of Sardar Singh.
In a press conference held today the Chief Coach of Indian team Terry Walsh stated that he was well aware of te artistry and elegance of Indian Hockey in earlier years. Today he wanted that to be seen in the Indian team. He opined that everything foreign in Indian training system is not useful. The Indian way, culture, Indian psyche have to be amalgamated into the training protocols.
The Coach said that Roelant Oltmans of High Performance Group from Holland has been associated with the training programme. The main focus now is on modernization of training into highest levels, according the Coach.
For Indian team things have changed a lot with regard to practice and orientation. In fact, this is best chance for India to get the chance to perform and reach world level.
It appears that India is not taking it casually and are very keen to take the opportunity to its logical ends.
Netherland teams feels that if they can beat Belgium , Argentina and Australia they will have fair chances for the World Cup. But the recent performance of Germany in the World Junior Cup held at New Delhi recently proved that even their men team is equally lethal in smashing their opponents. Teams gauged themselves by playing friendly matches among them for the last three days. A feast awaits hockey lovers.
