Indian players celebrate the dismissal of Australia's Pat Cummins of the final day of the first cricket test between Australia and India in Adelaide, Australia,Monday, Dec. 10, 2018.

India won the first test against Australia by 31 runs at Adelaide Oval shortly before tea on day five on Monday.

The victory was India’s first series-opening win on Australian soil and first in the country since Anil Kumble’s team defeated Ricky Ponting’s side in Perth in 2008.
