India’s only award show by the kids, for the kids and of the kids - Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards honoured the best in the of entertainment industry across film and television.

The star-studded evening, which took place on December 15 at NSCI Dome, Mumbai saw a host of Bollywood and television personalities like Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Badshah, Shantanu Maheshwari, Dharmesh Sir, amongst others walk the much talked about ‘Orange Carpet’.

The starry evening was designed to appeal to the juniors in the audience with extraordinary performances and magical moments.

With nearly 2.5 lakh votes, the kids have chosen their favourites. Golmaal Again won in the Best Film category while Ranveer Singh won the Best Actor (Male) Award. Alia Bhatt won the Best Actress (Female) award and ‘‘Badri Ki Dulhania’’ was voted as the Best Song by kids. The much adored Varun Dhawan was voted by kids as The Dancing Star and the Best Entertainer of the Year award.

Motu Patlu received maximum votes and was declared the Best Show on a kids channel in the country. Motu won the Best Indian Cartoon Character of the year award. Hyderabad’s very own Mithali Raj was chosen Favourite Sports Personality.

The most memorable moments that made the Kid’s Choice Awards an affair to remember were Alia turning green on being slimed by Ranveer. The ‘Green Slime Mania’ is a tradition that is followed across the globe for Kid’s Choice Awards as a mark of honour where the biggest and hottest international celebrities like Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Adam Sandler and more have been slimed.

The evening saw some adrenaline pumping performances by Alia Bhatt who danced to a melody of her biggest dance numbers, while a power packed performance by Ranveer Singh had the little ones jumping out of their seats. Badhshah had everyone grooving to his beats with the rap version of the KCA Anthem.The Awards will premiere on Nickelodeon, Sonic, Nick Jr. and Nick HD+.
