Adobe Launches Emergency Update For Flash Player

Washington: Adobe has reportedly released a critical emergency update for Flash Player to ward off attacks.
The update is for fixing critical remote code execution vulnerability, which would expose the affected systems to attacks that would remotely take control of an affected system.
According to the PC World, the vulnerability, classified as integer underflow, is identified as CVE-2014-0497 on the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures list and can be exploited to execute arbitrary code on the system.
Meanwhile, Adobe said in a security advisory that was aware of reports that an exploit for this vulnerability exists in the wild, and recommended users to update their product installations to the latest versions.
